Prof. Mayssah El Nayal is a professor of psychology, and the Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences at Beirut Arab University. Academically, she has upgraded the Psychology Lab at BAU, and introduced a two-year Clinical Psychology MA program. Professionally, she has launched a Psycho-social Counselling Unit. As for research, she has numerous interests, focusing on personality studies, clinical psychology and women’s studies. Recently her research has taken a new turn into the realm of positive psychology and the enhancement of its components in marginalized groups.
